After yesterday, when we saw the pre-orders open for Star Wars: The Old Republic, new reports have popped up, saying that the new MMORPG might go online in November, right before the winter holiday season.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is one of the most ambitious projects in recent years, with developer BioWare, publisher Electronic Arts, and Star Wars license holder LucasArts, working hard to ensure that the legions of fans will be pleased with the new online experience set in the famous universe.

After hearing plenty of details recently about the new game, EA finally started accepting pre-orders for the game yesterday, offering three separate versions to eager fans, including a regular one, a digital deluxe version and a very special Collector's Edition, which bundles many high quality items, both real ones and virtual things, which will be enjoyed inside the game.

Sadly, once again, EA is playing coy with the actual release date, mentioning that The Old Republic still doesn't have a concrete launch schedule.

Thankfully, a brand new report, coming from CVG, which cites a retail source, claims that Star Wars: The Old Republic is scheduled to arrive this November, right before the start of the holiday season.

This coincides with the estimates made by BioWare co-founder Dr. Ray Muzyka, who revealed that the new online game might arrive before the end of the year.

EA quickly clarified saying that it isn't certain, so fans shouldn't be too surprised if The Old Republic slips into 2012, if the development process demands it.

This secrecy is motivated by EA in order to make sure that the launch will be a success. If a date were to be set, rivals, including Blizzard and its World of Warcraft MMORPG, would set up special in-game events or release new expansions in order to distract their players from trying out Star Wars: The Old Republic.
