BioWare has confirmed that it’s going to offer a grace period for those who are participating in Star Wars: The Old Republic’s Early Game Access, as they’ll have two days in which to enter their final product code and continue where they left off, without having to start the game all over again.
Star Wars: The Old Republic is the last big release of the year and BioWare deployed an early game access period last week in which those who pre-ordered the game could play it before anyone else, until the game is actually released, tomorrow on December 20.
Now, in order to soothe the concerns of those engaged in the early game access for The Old Republic, BioWare co-founders Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka , have confirmed that a two-day grace period is being offered.
“While we've worked closely with our retailers in the launch territories to ensure copies of Star Wars: The Old Republic are available from our launch date of December 20th, we understand that for those of you who’ve pre-ordered, there may be a concern about getting your copy on time. We’ve heard you want a 'grace period' where you can continue to play without having to enter a final product registration code (AKA 'game code').”
This grace period is now official, as The Old Republic players will have two days in which to redeem their final code and set up a valid payment method in order to keep experiencing the online role playing game.
These codes are found within physical Standard and Collector’s Editions of the game, while digital ones bought from Origin are already being sent out through emails.
Once you redeem your code, the 30-day subscription included in each new copy of the game is activated. If you already did this, then the billing cycle starts on December 20, 2011, 12:01AM EST (Pacific: December 19th, 9:01PM PST; European: December 20th, 05:01AM GMT, 06:01AM CET), when the game finally goes online for all players.
