Players can still emote in order to stop bosses from attacking

Video game developer BioWare has launched a new patch for its MMO Star Wars: The OId Republic, fixing a number of problems that the player base has been reporting but has failed to eliminate a glitch that causes enemies to stop attacking any player character who begins to dance.

The main changes in the new patch are a fix for the cover mechanics that some classes use for their ranged attacks and a solution to the problems with the Sith Corruption mechanics.

Those who plan on starting Bounty Hunter characters can now do so without fear as BioWare has also eliminated the issues which caused their story to become stuck just before the end game.

The new Star Wars: The Old Republic patch will be automatically applied when a gamer fires up the MMO and BioWare has already said that it plans to deliver more small patches in the near future, making sure that is smothers as many problems as possible just as the community is reporting them.

Unfortunately for some the new patch does not fix the ability to interrupt all enemy and even boss attacks by just using the emote “getdown”, which has been recently noticed.

BioWare says that it is aware of the issues that the emote can create in tense combat situations, especially when groups of players are involved, but it is treating it as an exploit rather than a simple bug at the moment, which might mean that it will take some time before it is eliminated.

The developers have also said that there are no plans to ban players for pulling out their dance moves during battle situations.

Recently a number of players have received bans for exploiting a mechanics which allowed them to get high level loot from Ilum rather early and then use them to unbalance the in-game economy.
