BioWare has unleashed a brand new video of its upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic online role playing game, showcasing the start of a high-level 'Operation' (aka raid) which is unlocked for players that reach level 50 in the new title.

Star Wars: The Old Republic has been in development for quite some time now, and it's still being polished by its developer, BioWare, while the publishers, Electronic Arts and LucasArts, are busy hyping it up before its possible release later this fall.

Now, in order to make players even more excited about The Old Republic, the game's director of production, Dallas Dickinson, has revealed a new 10-minute video of the online title, with several Imperial players taking on one of its high-level Operations.

The raid takes them to an abandoned prison under the ice of the planet Belsavis, which is the hiding place of "an ancient and deadly evil that could threaten the galaxy."

"To counter this threat, General Threnoldt dispatches Imperial forces to investigate the prison and confront the dangers within. Watch as a group of players work their way towards the prison gates in the opening section of the Eternity Vault, one of the high-level Operations in Star Wars: The Old Republic," explained the BioWare executive.

In the video, Dickinson walks viewers through quite a few Imperial classes, like the Juggernaut, which is the main tank of the group, or the second tank, the Assassin. He highlights some of their biggest powers and abilities, as well as the enemies that they'll encounter throughout the Operation, from regular droids to turrets or massive robots that require sustained team efforts to take down.

Even if the players are all above level 50, it still takes them a while before overcoming all of the enemies at first, so it seems that this Operation will certainly offer a good challenge to the new players of Star Wars: The Old Republic when it will eventually be released.

Until then, check out the video of the raid below.
