The first official look at Disney’s upcoming “Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens” came in November, with a teaser trailer that’s already been viewed millions of times, spanning countless rumors and fan theories about what we should expect from his highly anticipated reboot.

Then, in December last year, another rumor started making the rounds, namely that Disney would attach a new trailer to Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” which is coming out in the US on May 1.

Collider is now confirming this: indeed, a new preview for “Star Wars” will premiere on April 16 at the Star Wars Celebration convention, and will then arrive in theaters ahead of screenings of “Ultron.”

The latest “Avengers” installment will open in certain international markets starting April 22, so the question of whether fans from these countries will also get to see it (that is, ahead of US fans) is a valid one.

The aforementioned trade publication believes that Disney will probably release an HD version of the trailer online right after it premieres at the convention, thus minimizing the risks of unwanted, low-quality leaks, which are known to impact the experience for the fans.

Still, this conclusion is based on how the studio handled the release of the first video. They could still go a different way with it.

Whichever turns out to be the case, one thing is certain: Disney is putting out a new “Star Wars” trailer and the fans will be seeing it very, very soon - on May 1, at the latest. The film will be released in theaters in December this year and will re-launch the “Star Wars” franchise.
