Unless you’re from the US and you’re heading out to the movies this weekend, there’s no other way for you to see the brand new, first teaser trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” than online. Disney released it on iTunes some minutes ago, and as expected, it made its way on YouTube as well.

You can see it in full and in HD below. If you were thinking that this would be one of those lame teasers where you get very little footage but lots of booming music, like I did, fear not because this is not the case.

If you’re a fan of the iconic franchise, I’m sure you will find plenty of things to get excited about with this, from that beautiful shot of the Millennium Falcon (which I hear has been shot in IMAX, so make sure you see the film on an IMAX screen), the Stormtroopers, the new droid and that hooded, mystery character who’s wielding a Lightsaber that looks so much different from all the other Lightsabers we’ve seen in previous films.

We don’t get any shots of the original characters who have been brought on board, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, so I’m thinking this is a surprise Disney is saving for the full trailer. Worst case scenario, they might want to keep their appearances as a complete surprise and will only show them in the movie.

“Star Wars VII” is directed by J.J. Abrams, who also co-wrote the script, and stars Carrie Fisher, Mike Hamill, Harrison Ford, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker. It will be out in December 2015.

Until we get the full trailer, here’s the teaser trailer. The Force has awakened!
