May the 4th is quickly becoming one of the biggest unofficial holidays in the world and the various digital distribution services of the video game world are determined to offer players access to a range of content associated with the Star Wars series.

The most significant price cuts and the biggest array of content can be found on the PC, where Steam is offering most titles linked to the science fiction universe with a 70 percent price cut.

Picking up a title here and there is possible, but the star of the sale is clearly the Star Wars Collection 2015, which allows access to a wide range of video games including Star Wars Battlefront 2, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith, Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast, Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2, Republic Commando, Starfighter, The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition, Dark Forces, Knights of the Old Republic, Knights of the Old Republic 2, Empire at War: Gold Pack and The Force Unleashed.

There are some great titles included in the package, with the potential to offer tens of hours of fun for Star Wars fans, and it will cost less than a new AAA title.

Gamers who do not like Steam can take a look at GOG, which is also celebrating May the 4th with deep discounts for its titles and two big packages designed for fans.

More details are offered in this Softpedia post that explains the content of each.

Microsoft and Sony are also celebrating May the 4th

On the Xbox Live store, gamers can get access to discounted Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, complete with downloadable content, and the LEGO Star Wars titles are also offered for those interested.

On the PlayStation 4 and the PS3, fans of the franchise can get a special free theme for their consoles, and the movies are also on sale for a limited time.

2015 is a big year for Star Wars because the team at Disney in charge of the franchise will launch The Force Awakens, the first movie in a new trilogy.

When it comes to video games, the biggest coming release is Star Wars Battlefront, which is developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts, currently planned to arrive on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 on November 17.
