Disney will be releasing “Star Wars VII” in two years’ time, which will end up feeling like an eternity but, at least, in the meantime, it plans to keep us properly entertained on social media. The first official “Star Wars” Instagram account is now live.

Described as “the official home of Star Wars on Instagram,” the account doesn’t feature anything new just yet, but it does include a few photos that will definitely make the delight of diehard fans of the franchise.

However, the first one posted to it is the kind that you’d want to share with your friends, because, as you can see above, it’s absolutely hilarious. Click on the image to see it in full.

That’s Darth Vader himself trying to join in the selfie madness, apparently completely oblivious to the existence of the front-facing camera. Well, even if you’re doing it like a rookie, it still counts.

“Another day at the office. #StarWars #DarthVader #selfies #gpom,” reads the description of the pic.

As for actual details about “Star Wars VII,” so far, we only know that J.J. Abrams is now working on the script and that he’s also be directing. With Abrams at the helm, that means that most details about the production will be kept under wraps until the 12th hour because he’s one of those industry people who don’t believe in spoilers.
