LucasArts might not have announced it yet but there’s even more evidence that a game with the name of Star Wars: First Assault is being prepared for launch after an actual box art image for it was found on the Xbox Live Arcade service from Microsoft.
The image might be a little small and grainy but it clearly shows Stormtroopers and another squad engaged in a fire fight among classical-looking buildings.
LucasArts is clearly identified as the publisher of the game, although it is not clear whether it also handled development internally.
A representative from LucasArts has responded by saying that, “It is an exciting time at our company right now, however we don’t have any announcements at this time.”
Star Wars: First Assault was first revealed earlier during August when a trademark and domain name for the game were uncovered.
LucasArts is also working on Star Wars 1313 at the moment, slated for a 2013 launch.
