According to an announcement made today by LucasArts and Petroglyph Games, Star
Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption has just gone gold. The game is due to appear in North American stores on October 24.

In the new installment of the Star Wars series, players will have to face in battle the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire. The galaxy is in turmoil as the rebels have just destroyed the Death Star. As every time, some evil villain is trying to take over. The one who aspires to the role of leader of the underworld is Jabba the Hut.

Supported by his team, Jabba the Hut tries to impose his will on the entire galaxy by spreading corruption using new devious strategies meant to influence other factions. Players must keep one eye out for Jabba and his minions as they will steal their funds, spy on them and slow down their production.
Gamers will be able to use new strategies like piracy, bribery and kidnapping to devise plans for stopping Jabba the Hut.

All of this will happen throughout the whole galaxy, on exotic planets like Mandalore, Hypori, Honoghr, The Maw, Felucia, Mustakar, Kamino Saleucami and Utapau.
