Sony Online Entertainment, the branch of the well-known gaming company that is in charge of massive multiplayer games, and LucasArts, the owner of the Star Wars license, have announced that that their MMO Star Wars: The Clone Wars Adventures is set to get exclusive content that will tell a completely new story which will bridge the third and the fourth season of the television series that airs on Cartoon Network.

Mission on Iceberg Three has been created with input from Dave Filoni, the man who actually runs the television cartoon series, and will take place immediately after the battle fought at Felucia.

Players will meet with Plo Koon in order to take on the dangerous mission of going to the Calamari system in order to defend it from an incoming separatist attack.

The new content delivers four new levels, all filled with narrative bits, and will also allow players to battle one of the best-known villains of the cartoon series in a tough lighsaber duel.

John Smedley, who is the overall president of Sony Online Entertainment, has stated, “Our partnership with LucasArts continues to be strong with the team behind The Clone Wars TV series providing us unprecedented access to the season four storyline. To-date, most of our gameplay experience has mirrored the show, and we’re excited to provide original storylines and exclusive content to our players and fans of the TV show.”

Dave Filoni added, “Season Four is going to drop audiences into the deep end of an important battle, and this is a chance for fans to take part in one of our biggest storylines yet. These events will ripple throughout the Star Wars galaxy, so they are integral to the trajectory of the series. This is a great way to contribute to the Republic’s war effort, and SOE’s done a great job of tying our stories together.”
