Star Wars Battlefront, the new title from Electronic Arts and DICE, is set to get its official gameplay video tomorrow, but until then, a brief batch of footage has just appeared, alongside a screenshot that seems to depict actual gameplay sequences from the shooter. Meanwhile, a November 17 release date is all but confirmed.

Lots of gamers have fond memories of the Star Wars Battlefront titles made by Pandemic many years ago, and as such, quite a few of them are looking forward to the franchise's reboot that's set to appear from DICE and Electronic Arts later this year across the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms.

Early footage and details are now available

The first actual gameplay presentation for the shooter is set to appear tomorrow, as part of the Star Wars Celebration event, but now some early footage alongside a screenshot has leaked online, as part of the promotional efforts for the Star Wars Episode VII movie trailer.

As you can see in the short but sweet animated GIF below, the game is looking very good, although it's unclear whether it's actual gameplay footage or just an in-engine cut scene. DICE mentioned several times that the graphics in the new title would impress fans.

The screenshot, available above via NeoGAF, looks quite good, and it's quite possible that the game will look like that, given the quality of other recent games powered by Frostbite 3, like Dragon Age: Inquisition or Battlefield Hardline.

The new title might appear on November 17

Star Wars Battlefront launches this fall on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. According to the source code on the official website, however, a more accurate release date is available, in the form of November 17. Given that it's on a Tuesday, a traditional video game debut day, it's quite possible that this is the actual launch date for Star Wars Battlefront.
