The reveal of the first official trailer for Star Wars: Battlefront is one of the highlights of the month for gamers, and the development team at DICE has released a new video showing how the studio has worked to make sure that the game is as faithful to the franchise as possible.

The two-minute-long video is offered on the official Twitter account of the game, and there are only a few small bits of in-engine footage.

All of them come with a warning explaining that this is pre-alpha tech and content that's being shown.

Hoth, Endor, and a stormtrooper are also featured, and even at this early stage, the quality of the graphics seems very solid.

The focus is on the DICE team that is working on Star Wars: Battlefront and on the way they are trying to capture the unique atmosphere of the planets gamers will visit and the various challenges they will face.

The official trailer for the video game is set to be introduced on April 17 at the Star Wars Celebration, but the studio has not said whether gameplay footage will be used or whether it will be only CGI.

Publisher Electronic Arts has said that it will launch Star Wars: Battlefront before the end of the year on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft, and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

Star Wars: Battlefront aims to revolutionize the mechanics of the franchise

Battlefront is known for its big battles and for the wide variety of roles that gamers can choose as part of a team.

The new Star Wars-themed title will apparently aim to cover as many of the important battles of the history of the franchise as possible.

Only a small slice of content will be focused on the new The Force Awakens movie because Disney and Electronic Arts are keen to avoid any spoilers.

Rumors are saying that DICE is aiming to introduce an entirely new Hero system in order to give gamers a chance to become a Jedi, Sith, or another powerful character.

In order to do this, they need to accumulate resources by being efficient both on their own and as part of a bigger team.
