A new mobile game is now available for download for the owners of Windows Phone devices out there, in the form of Star Wars: Assault Team, which has landed on Android only recently.

Coming from Disney Interactive, this is a turn-based combat game that features classic card-battle gameplay, enabling users to assemble their own team of heroes to battle enemies across the universe.

“Infiltrate enemy fleets and outsmart your opponents in exciting, face-to-face combat,” the game’s description reads.

“Embark on epic missions to escape from enemy ships, find the Wookiee resistance, survive ambushes on the streets of Mos Espa, and much more. Fight for ultimate control of the galaxy in this strategic combat game, where every move counts!”

Users will be able to play with classic Star Wars characters, including Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Boba Fett, Tusken Raiders, and many more, each of them with unique stats and abilities. At the same time, each of them has specific attacks, which can increase the team’s overall strength.

“Take your assault team into battle, and defeat galactic enemies and other players! Strategically choose your squad, then deploy your team members’ special tactics. Crush your opponents to earn valuable rewards and new characters,” the title’s description reads.

Users will be able to collect a series of items that will allow them to train their characters, while also getting the chance to improve their special attacks. Thus, players can make sure that their team is even more dominant when it meets increasingly powerful enemies.

On top of that, Star Wars: Assault Team will allow users to challenge other players in PvP battles, so that they could win extra loot.

The new mobile game promises cinematic, high-quality graphics for all Windows Phone devices, as users make their way from scene to scene. Additionally, the title features full character and background animations during combat.

The story of the game has been inspired by the Star Wars franchise, thus being capable of providing users with the possibility to complete all-new missions that have been set between “Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope” and “Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back.”

The title will also allow enthusiasts to travel to iconic Star Wars planets, including Tatooine and Kashyyyk, among others more.

At the moment, Star Wars: Assault Team is available for download as version 1.0.0.101. The game is offered for free, and is compatible with Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1 devices (owners of entry-level smartphones might not be able to download it).
