The development team at Digital Extremes and publisher Namco Bandai are preparing the fan base for the launch of the upcoming Star Trek game via a new video, which shows the main enemies of the game and some of the collaboration mechanics involved in cooperative play.
The new game is based on the movie series rebooted by J.J. Abrams, but the core story is not linked to the already launched film or the one that’s coming later during 2013.
The plot of the Star Trek game will involve the Gorn as a new threat against humanity and will see Captain Kirk and First Officer Spock working together to stop them.
Star Trek will be launched on the PC, the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft on April 23 in North America and three days later in Europe.
