The development team at Cryptic Studios and publisher Perfect World Entertainment are announcing that a celebratory event is launched for Star Trek Online in order to offer gamers a number of rewards for sticking with the MMO for a four-year period.

Until February 27, all those interested can earn prizes from well-known character Q, who is present in the spacedocks on Earth, Qo’noS and New Romulus Command.

Fans need to pick up the Party Patrol mission and will then be able to get access to 40 40 Qmendations during a day and they can also earn a Festive Party Horn, Dilithium Ore or a 4th Anniversary Party Box, which includes a mysterious prize.

The developers are also launching a new feature episode for Star Trek Online, called A Step Between Stars, which has a storyline narrated by Admiral Tuvok from Voyager, played by Tim Russ.

Cryptic explains on the official site that, “You have been asked by Dyson Joint Allied Command to assist Admiral Tuvok in thwarting the Voth as they attempt to spirit away the entire Solanae Dyson Sphere, and stop their plans to bring warp travel to a screeching halt across the galaxy.”

All those who play A Step Between Stars will be able to fly the new Dyson Science Destroyer ships, tier 5 content that can also be earned through a new Anniversary Event Reputation Project.

Fans need to complete the special mission on each character in order to get access to 400 Qmendations that can be used to create the vessel.

Star Trek Online is free-to-play at the moment and gamers can choose to pay a monthly subscription in order to get access to an enhanced experience.

The MMO had some issues when it was launched, but since then, a lot of new content and updates have been released for it and fans of the television series have come to appreciate the experience that it offers.
