Star Chart continues to be a powerful augmented reality app that’s currently used by lots of Windows 8 adopters out there, so updates are playing quite a key role for the long-term success of the program.

An update that got out today brings fresh content on both Windows 8 and Windows RT, including the comet ISON and update to the satellites tracking code to ensure the ISS is in the right position.

Otherwise, Star Chart remains the same great app that lets you explore planets, moon, rings, satellites, and stars without leaving the modern UI.

“Alternatively, explore the universe from the comfort of your desktop to learn about the wonders of our solar system and beyond. Visit the planets, explore their rings and moons, learn about the constellations, discover majestic Messier objects, and travel both forwards and backwards in time,” the app description now reads.
