Staples is one of the first retailers that will start selling the Surface RT, with the device expected to arrive in its stores today at prices that match those announced by Microsoft.

Microsoft has also confirmed that additional retailers to sell the Surface would be announced soon, with sources familiar with the matter suggesting that both Best Buy and Walmart are currently in the pipeline.

“Staples is excited to provide this innovative product to customers just in time for the holiday season. Staples is a leader in offering the latest technology for small businesses and consumers, and our customers can now experience Surface in store or online,” Mike Edwards, Staples’ executive vice president of Merchandising, said in a statement.

As you probably know by now, the cheapest Surface model comes with a price tag of $499 (€380) and offers 32 GB of storage space. The top-of-the-line version is priced at $699 (€540) and boasts 64 GB of storage space plus a black Touch Cover.
