Microsoft has made available a 360 250GB hard drive for customers running Xbox 360. According to the software giant, this offering is the largest hard drive that gamers already running the latest version of the Redmond company’s console can purchase. The product has hit store shelves, and is currently up for grabs from online retailers such as Amazon.com. Gamers looking to extend the storage of their consoles will be able to do so as long as they will pay $129.99 for the new hard drive from the software giant.

“Make sure you have enough space for the content you love. The 250GB Hard Drive is the perfect storage option for your Xbox 360 Console, with plenty of space to hold all your downloaded games, movies, television shows, music, and more,” a fragment from the official description of the hard drive reads. “The Xbox 360 250GB Hard Drive includes a data transfer kit to easily migrate all of your saved data to your new hard drive. It comes preloaded with great HD game demos, videos, and an assortment of Xbox LIVE Arcade game trials.”

Microsoft first announced the 250GB Xbox 360 hard drive over half a year ago. However, at that time, the product was only offered as a console bundle together with the Modern Warfare 2 title. This is no longer the case. Now, gamers can purchase the 250GB drive as a standalone product. At the same time, the Redmond company has dropped the price of its 120GB drive, which will be available for just $100.

“Xbox LIVE is the premier destination to download the best games and entertainment at the touch of a button, 24x7. With a growing library of more than 13,000 pieces of gaming content, and more than 25,000 movies, TV episodes and music videos available to download or stream instantly – you’re bound to find something you love,” Microsoft adds.
