Because she has zero music experience, she might be wanted as host

As Simon Cowell is postponing an announcement regarding the lineup for season 2 of X Factor US, more names are being attached to it. The latest is that of Stacy Keibler, who is reportedly in secret talks with the mogul and the network for a position.

Season 1 of the American version of the show, imported from the UK where it's already reached its tenth year, ended with a bloodbath, explicable mostly by the rather disappointing ratings.

Host Steve Jones was let go after being criticized by fans for not knowing how to handle intense situations.

He was shortly followed by Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul from the panel.

Now, PageSix reports that Stacy Keibler, former professional wrestler and George Clooney's current girlfriend, is in talks for a job on X Factor, though what that might be is yet unknown.

“George Clooney’s girlfriend Stacy Keibler is in talks to join The X Factor as negotiations continue with Britney Spears to be a judge on the upcoming season,” the e-zine writes.

Britney is wanted as judge but she's been asking for too much money, and producers are trying to get her for less, a source familiar with the situation says.

Still, Stacy is also on the list.

“Talks are still ongoing with Britney, and she is asking for a lot more money than was originally offered. But producers are confident Britney will realize this is a great opportunity for her to reinvent herself and accept their deal,” the insider explains.

However, Stacy isn't competing with Britney for the job, for a very simple reason: she has zero music experience.

This could mean she's in talks to be the host on the new season of the singing competition, if everything goes according to plan.

“Stacy Keibler is also in talks to join the show, but her lack of experience in the music business may make her more appropriate as a host. She looks fantastic and has bags of charisma,” the source further says.

Other huge names linked to X Factor, for more or less sound reasons, are: Rihanna, Katy Perry and Beyonce.
