Double Fine's quirky puzzler won't be an Xbox 360 exclusive

After releasing Stacking onto the Xbox 360 at the beginning of the year, Double Fine Productions has now confirmed that the quirky Matryoshka-themed puzzler is coming to the PC platform early next year.

Double Fine, after putting out some mixed received triple-A titles, has started focusing on lightweight downloadable ones, releasing onto the Xbox Live Arcade hits like Costume Quest, Trenched (now known as Iron Brigade) or Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster.

Now, after Costume Quest already made the jump from the Xbox 360 to the PC, Double Fine has confirmed, via G4, that Stacking will soon follow in its footsteps, although no other details are known.

We already reviewed Stacking on the Xbox 360 and were quite impressed with its sharp visual style and the cleverly written tongue-in-cheek humor, delivering a top notch virtual world in which everyone was actually a Matryoshka doll.

Hopefully we’ll get to know more about Stacking’s release on the PC after the winter holidays.
