Stacie Halas worked as an eighth-grade science teacher in Oxnard, South California, until students discovered an x-rated movie in which she had starred, using the alias Tiffany Six.

According to the NY Daily News, Halas, who was fired from teaching in April, is now fighting in court to get her job back.

She had been employed at the Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School in Oxnard since 2009.

The 32-year-old woman has appeared in six adult productions in 2005 and 2006 and she is arguing that, by 2009, when she first started as a teacher, her adult film star career was in the past.

"I think most of us have something in our backgrounds. [...] And I ask anybody here to cast the first stone. […] What happened six years ago has not impacted her ability to be an effective teacher," Halas's lawyer, Richard Schwab, said after the hearing, on Wednesday.

Oxnard school officials have yet to make a decision on the matter.
