Manjaro 0.8.7, a Linux Distribution based on well-tested snapshots of the Arch Linux repositories and 100% compatible with Arch, has just received a new update pack, raising the number to eight.

A new maintenance update has been made available for the users of the official flavor of Manjaro, bringing a few much needed updates to various applications, and even support for the latest Cinnamon, 2.0.8.

“Being rather a calm update we bumped linux38 to 3.8.13.12, VirtualBox to 4.3.2, LibreOffice to 4.1.3, Firefox and Thunderbird to 25.0, tox to a newer git version, added some new GTK 3.10 themes, plus Xorg-Server is at 1.14.4,” reads the official announcement.

The current supported Linux kernels are 3.4.67 (which is also the default), 3.8.13.12 (stable extended support kernel maintained by Canonical), 3.10.17, and 3.11.6.
