Square Enix has made an interesting reveal on April 1, insisting that it's no joke, but a real thing that it’s working on: a light, novel-type role-playing game.

The work-in-progress project features a cast of over 25 high-profile actresses and the developers have recently published a teaser trailer featuring only the voices and sounds of a new title that looks like it could be the aforementioned role-playing game, on a newly-launched website related to the Stellaprisma name.

The trailer shows no footage whatsoever, no images, just delivering some recited lines from future characters, trying to build up some tension and set a mood for the sort of dramatic storyline players will find in the upcoming game.

The video voice-over is in Japanese, but fortunately Siliconera has already come up with a translation of the lines being voiced out in the trailer.

“The flow of time in this place is different compared to where we’re from…”

“It means that things such as common sense no longer have any use, whatsoever, around here.”

“Please, just send me back to the normal world.”

“Even now, numerous members continue to fight secretly.”

“I’ll take it down! Regardless of what happens to my body!”

“This is where I belong!”

“I always believed that you’d return!”

“Up until now, I’ve always longed to have someone change this world.”

“No matter how important something is to you, they can still be lost.”

“Do you think even someone such as myself could be of use to the team?”

“I… just want you to watch over me.”

“Because if I don’t kill… I’ll be killed myself.”

“When this fight is over, I’d like to do the things I’ve been wanting to do.”

Square Enix has recently opened up the website for the upcoming mystery title, featuring the Stellaprisma name in the link, where you can take a look, or rather listen, to the video yourself.

The prestigious Japanese magazine Famitsu has also confirmed the fact that Square Enix's upcoming game was not an April Fools joke, and it has listed some known actresses such as Yu Asakawa, Kaori Ishihara, Mariya Ise, and others.

For now, there are no details on the game or on any platforms that it will be available on at launch, but Square Enix is expected to make more reveals in the near future.
