The Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has announced that the single player story of the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII-2 will take between 30 and 40 hours to complete by a player who has medium skill.

After the game is over and done gamers can also choose to reload save game data and begin playing again from a save point just before the final boss battle.

It seems that those long term fans who have also played the first Final Fantasy XIII will have the option of importing their saved game data but they will only get some art and wallpaper as a reward.

Japan will have more than two full months to play Final Fantasy XIII-2 before the West gets access to the game in early February 2012.

This is only the second full fledged sequel in the Square Enix made game universe and the company says that most of the problems gamers had with the original have been solved.
