For all the gamers that might have experienced the unfortunate situation of coming across a crowded server and as a result, not being able to join in, Square Enix brings forth the World Transfer Service.

Square Enix producer Naoki Yoshida shared some exciting news to the delight of players that hope to play in other worlds. Those that wish to move to another server to play with their friends or simply because they like its name, will finally be able to do so.

To make this possible, the World Transfer Service will be launched within the next two weeks and sadly will require a fee later on. Even so, Square Enix will allow the players to move from one server to another for free in the first five days to compensate for any inconveniences.

So that they may alleviate server congestion, the existing servers will be enhanced and additional ones will be added. Due to the numerous players, a few rules will be implemented before any migration takes place.

Furthermore, additional requirements will have to be met before moving to another world. Some examples of these requirements are: the player must be logged out when the transfer occurs, must not have any items in the market, as well as being a part of a Free Company.

Moreover, a limitation has been set to fight RMTs (Real Money Traders): the amount of Gil a player is allowed to carry over.

If by any chance another character possesses the same name as yours on the server you are joining, they will automatically have priority over the name, thus requiring you to make a change in yours.

Logging during peak hours might be a bit difficult because of the momentary restriction of 8,000 simultaneous online players per server; therefore, Naoki Yoshida suggests gamers scout what worlds are crowded prior to making a choice.

To make things easier, Square Enix promises to help players and deliver a list of the most crowded servers in the near future.
