Mobile phone carrier Sprint is reportedly preparing a promo deal to accompany its LG Viper 4G LTE and LG Optimus Elite handsets, in the form of free Google Wallet credit.

Apparently, the wireless operator is set to provide users with $25 Google Wallet credit upon the purchase of any of the two handsets between May 18th and July 18th.

Nothing has been officially announced on the matter for the time being, but a leaked document from TechnoBuffalo shows that things might indeed turn out this way.

To benefit from the promotion, users would have to activate Google Wallet and a Google Wallet prepaid card within seven days after activating the mobile phone.

When this is done, they will receive $10 credit, followed by an additional $15 credit within three weeks.

Moreover, it seems that Sprint is also planning to drop the price tag for its LG Viper 4G LTE on May 18th. Starting with that day until July 14th, the handset will be only $79.99 (62 Euro) on contract.

The Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch will also be cheaper, at only $149.99 (115 Euro) with a two-year contract, but with a $50 mail-in rebate in tow.

For all those out of the loop, we should note that Galaxy Nexus also has a promo deal attached to it at the moment, with $40 Google Wallet credit available for all those acquiring it at Sprint before May 22nd, as phonedog points out.

It’s becoming increasingly clear that Google and its carrier partners are determined to make Google Wallet more popular than it already is. These deals involve credit with the service, and we might expect for similar promotions to emerge as well.

Moreover, with Google pushing the service to more carriers out there, it would not come as a surprise if such offerings popped up on more networks.
