United States carrier Sprint currently offers to its users some very appealing Android devices, including the HTC Hero and Samsung Moment, and it seems that it might soon add yet another such phone to its offering, this time around one that comes from the South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics. An LG LS680 device was spotted in Sprint’s internal systems, listed as an Android device headed for the carrier.

For the time being, there are no exact details available on the new handset, yet BGR, which brought the news to light, says that the Android OS loaded on the LG LS680 suggests we're to expect for a touchscreen to be included into the equation. At the same time, there are also chances that the phone will come to the market with a QWERTY keyboard, though it is only a speculation at the moment.

What seems to be pretty sure for the time being is that Sprint is readying a new Android mobile phone for its users. As many of you might have learned by now, Sprint and LG already announced plans to unveil a new device during CES 2010, which is only a few days away, and it shouldn't come as a surprise if the duo unveils a new Android phone in the end.

Still in the rumors and suppositions side, we should further mention that there are some voices suggesting that the device set to arrive at CES would be Prada III, while others say that it might be an Android-based Prada III. In case these rumors pan out in the end, Sprint's users will certainly have a nice device to enjoy on their carrier's network. However, these are only speculations at the moment but, since CES is only a few days ahead, more details should become available in the near future, so stay tuned to learn additional info on this.
