Sprint to Add Kyocera Torque to Its Direct Connect Portfolio

The unannounced Kyocera Torque will make its debut at Sprint in the next few months. The smartphone will be added to Sprint’s Direct Connect lineup for a price that will be unveiled closer to launch.

According to Engadget, Torque will be powered by Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box integrated with Kyocera’s Eco Mode.

The smartphone is military spec 810G- and IP67-certified and packs a 1.2 GHz dual-core MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 Plus processor, which is complemented y 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory that can be further enhanced up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Kyocera Torque sports a 4-inch WVGA IPS capacitive touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating, as well as 5-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel photo snapper for video calls.
