Samsung Galaxy S II is set to arrive on the US market in about two weeks, when wireless carriers Sprint and AT&T will make it available for purchase on their airwaves, just as Samsung announced earlier this week, when making the US flavor of this device official.

The first to arrive ons helves will be Sprint's flavor, dubbed Samsung Epic 4G Touch, which is already available for pre-order at Wirefly, with a price tag set $50 lower than at Sprint.

To be more precise, the Samsung Epic 4G Touch can be reserved for $149.99 with the signing of a two-year contract agreement when making the purchase from Wirefly. Free shipping was included as well, sweetening the deal even more.

At Sprint, the device will go for $199 on contract, at least this is what the wireless carrier announced on Tuesday. The handset will go on pre-order at Sprint too, and should hit the market on September 16th.

The mobile phone comes to the market with a 1.2 GHz dual-core application processor inside, complemented by 1GB of RAM, which should translate into great performance capabilities.

Unlike the original Galaxy S II device that landed on shelves with a 4.3-inch, the Samsung Epic 4G Touch also sports a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, though it boasts the same 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

The specifications list of Sprint's Galaxy S II model also includes 16GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot that can deliver up to 32GB of additional storage space, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, and built-in GPS receiver.

The mobile phone also comes with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for HD video recording, as well as with a 2MP camera on the front, which should enable video calling while on the go.

“The Epic 4G Touch, also known as the Samsung Galaxy S II, for Sprint is a premium Android-powered smartphone that has been designed to deliver the best multi-layered entertainment experience through superior speed and display innovation,” Wirefly explains.

“Its 3G/4G speeds paired with a 1.2GHz dual core processor give lightning-fast access and downloads of movies, games, web, and thousands of applications with no buffering, no lag time, and no disruption to your entertainment,” the retailer continues.
