South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics was rumored quite a few times before to plan the release of a new flagship handset before the end of this year, in the form of LG G3, and the device has made it online once again.

Courtesy of a leaked User Agent Profile for the device, we now know that the device is set to become available for purchase in the United States on the network of wireless carrier Sprint with model number LS990 attached to it.

The LG G2 that arrived on shelves last year was unveiled as LS980 in North America, and it’s quite clear that the newly spotted handset will be launched as its successor.

According to said UAProf, which was discovered by thedroidguy, the new handset will indeed arrive on shelves with a 2560 x 1440 pixels touchscreen display, just as previously rumored.

While no info on the device’s screen size has been included in the file, we should note that previous reports suggested that it would hit shelves with a 5.5-inch 2K panel on the front, which would make it one of the most appealing phones out there.

Furthermore, the LG G3 is expected to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 M8974A processor in it, though it would not come as a surprise if LG opted in for a more powerful CPU in the end.

Apparently, the smartphone will also include 3GB of RAM, which should work nicely with the aforementioned processor towards offering great performance capabilities to users.

On the back, the phone is said to feature a 13-megapixel camera, which might be capable of recording videos in 4K resolution (though only full HD is mentioned in said UAProf).

LG G3 is also expected to arrive on the market with a microSD memory card packed inside, which should provide users with support for up to at least 64GB of additional storage space.

Apparently, LG might load the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system on the device right from the start, while also adding its own Optimus UI to it, so as to ensure a unique experience to its users.

No official confirmation on the phone has been provided as of now, but rumor has it that LG might be set to announce it as soon as the next month.

However, we might not see the high-end smartphone made available for purchase soon after, as previous reports suggested that it would land on shelves only sometime in June or July. Hopefully, more on this will emerge soon, so stay tuned to learn the news.
