Mobile phone users in the United States interested in the purchase of a Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone on the network of wireless carrier Sprint can now grab the phone at much less than before via Amazon.

At the moment, the device is listed at the online retailer with a price tag of $99 (€72) attached to it, down from the $199 (€144) cost that it sports when bought via Sprint.

However, it should be noted right from the start that users interested in taking advantage of this price cut will need to sign up for a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier. Those who would rather purchase the device contract-free will have to pay $699.99 (€508) for it.

If the price cut is not appealing enough for you, we should also note that the Sprint Galaxy S5 also comes with three months of Spotify Premium for free.

As Android Central notes, Amazon had Verizon’s version of Galaxy S5 available at the same price tag last month and managed to sell out its stock quite fast.

Thus, those who are interested in buying the mobile phone with a Sprint contract at only half of its usual price should hurry to Amazon’s website to make sure that they will be able to benefit from the deal.

Samsung Galaxy S5 was made official in February during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, and arrives on shelves with a 5.1-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution.

Moreover, the device sports a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. A microSD memory card slot with support for up to 128GB of additional storage space was also included.

On the back, the Samsung Galaxy S5 features a 16-megapixel camera with support for 4K video recording, complemented by a 2MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.

At the same time, the smartphone hits shelves with 4G LTE connectivity inside, as well as with the usual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC capabilities. A GPS receiver and the entire range of common sensors, along with a fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor, was also included in it.

The phone features a 2800mAh battery that can deliver up to 29 hours of talk time and sports an Ultra Power Saving Mode that can squeeze up to 24 more hours of juice out of it. Samsung Galaxy S5 runs under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, with Samsung’s own TouchWiz user interface loaded on top.
