Mobile phone carrier Sprint is reportedly gearing up for the release of a new software update for its Galaxy Nexus devices, delivering some small enhancements to them.

Rumor has it that the new update will change the phone’s received signal strength indicator (RSSI), while also delivering support for Sprint TV.

Moreover, Wi-Fi and LTE settings will be turned to On by default following the update, a leaked screenshot available via technobuffalo shows.

The update will come as software version L700.FG01 and will include no upgrade to the recently released Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

The new firmware is expected to start arriving on devices as soon as today, but it will be released in stages, which means that not all users will taste it right from the start. The roll-out should be completed in a few days.
