In a couple of months

Rumor has it that wireless carrier Sprint is going to be launching a brand new smartphone from Palm in a couple of months. While most people are pretty sure that this is going to happen, they don't have the same opinion when it comes to what device will be coming to the carrier in the near future.

This is why there are several phones on the list, including the Treo 755p. There is very little information regarding this handset at the moment.

However, the Treo 755p will run the Garnet OS (that was up until now the Palm OS Garnet) and is said to come with support for the 3G wireless networking standard EV-DO.

Also, it looks like the handset will come without an antenna and its name suggests that it will come in pretty much the same form factor as the Treo 750, a pretty slim Palm device. Reportedly when the device is launched it is expected to replace Sprint's current Palm offering, the Treo 700p.

What's for sure is that it will be the same type of device that targets business users allowing them to work while on the move and outside of the office. Since Palm has been producing this type of device for a pretty long time, it would be surprising if the 755p would be very different from the others.

Moreover, the Treo 755p will be made available in two colors, blue and burgundy. It's expected to come out on the 14th of May this year but there's absolutely no information regarding the price, and you should keep in mind that for now this is just a rumor.
