Two mid-level mobile phones

Sprint will be getting some new phones to add to their lineup, although they will not be something completely different from what the mobile operator was already offering.

Instead, the two phones will most likely be upgrades to the already present Sanyo 7000 and Samsung M500. Although not outstanding, Sprint users that owned one of the two phones will now be able to get a new and improved version.

The Sanyo 7050 was approved by the Federal Communications Commission, but no details regarding its features were revealed, which is quite surprising for a phone that got the approval. Usually, most of its features are already known by then.

The Samsung M510 was also FCC approved but even less info was provided. Even more surprisingly, up to this day not much info about the two handsets is known. Reportedly, Samsung M510 will be a sort of replacement for the M500, come with Ev-DO and be released in two color varieties, blue and red. It won't bring anything out of the ordinary.

The Sanyo 7050, upgrade of the 7000, will come with the same rugged case and clamshell form factor, GPS capabilities, color internal display, monochrome external display, speakerphone and Push-to-Talk functionality. However, it will not come with Ev-DO support.

Aside from the fact that the two handsets, Sanyo 7050 and Samsung M510, are heading on to mobile operator Sprint, and the few features that have been revealed, other information remains unknown. Hopefully, soon more details regarding the specs as well as the price of the two will be announced. They are expected to start shipping to shops during April this year.
