Today, Sprint officially announced the upcoming availability of the LG Optimus F3 smartphone on its network in two color flavors, namely silver and purple, featuring support for 4G LTE connectivity.

The handset lands on the market with a price tag of $29.99 (€23) attached to it, with the signing of a two-year agreement and after a $50 (€38) mail-in rebate via reward card.

The LG Optimus F3 arrives at Sprint with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor packed inside, as well as with a 4-inch IPS screen and a 2460mAh battery.

The mobile phone also sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, capable of recording videos in full HD resolution, and features a front camera to enable video calling on the go.

LG also packed the new mobile phone with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities inside, as well as with NFC, GPS receiver, support for expandable storage space via microSD memory card slot, and features such as QSlide 2.0, QTranslator, and QuickMemo.

“Sprint is committed to providing technology that meets the needs of all of our customers,” said Dan Hesse, Sprint CEO, who announced the device today at the M-Enabling Summit in Arlington, Va.

“The LG Optimus F3 offers a robust list of features for any customer, and it is uniquely empowering for people with disabilities.”

The handset arrives at Sprint with TalkBack pre-loaded, a text-to-speech accessibility feature that will help blind and vision-impaired users to interact with their devices easier.

LG Optimus F3 runs under Google’s 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system, and is set to become available for purchase at the wireless carrier on June 14.

“Combining intelligent features with the user-friendly LG interface, the LG Optimus F3 allows users to easily collaborate and communicate while handling a variety of tasks or enjoying entertainment content,” said Wayne Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics USA. “This device exemplifies LG’s commitment to delivering compelling accessibility features.
