14 DAY TRIAL // McAfee, one of world's leading security software developers, and Sprint have just announced that they have teamed up to offer Sprint customers access to McAfee Mobile Security and McAfee Family Protection Android Edition software
Aimed at customers who are worried about the security of their mobile devices, including smartphone and tablets, McAfee Mobile Security is meant to help Sprint customers protect their important information stored on these devices from loss, theft and viruses.
Furthermore, McAfee Family Protection Android Edition application targets parents who want to filter inappropriate websites on their child’s mobile device.
According to the carrier, with McAfee Mobile Security users will be provided with a comprehensive mobile security solution for smartphones and tablets.
Some of the most important features of the security solution include:
- Locate and track a lost or stolen mobile device, even if the SIM card is replaced; - Back up important contacts, photos and videos from a mobile device or remotely via the Web; - Remotely lock the mobile device to protect against misuse; - Remotely wipe personal data from a lost or stolen device via a SMS message from another device. With McAfee Family Protection Android Edition parents with be able to protect their children, regardless of their age, from exposure to inappropriate website content.
The application works with the default browser on the mobile device and is designed to block other browsers from running and bypassing the technology.

McAfee Mobile Security and McAfee Family Protection Android Edition applications are now available for download from Android Market or Sprint Zone.
The McAfee Mobile Security software is available as a seven-day trial and can be purchased as a 12-month subscription for $29.99, while McAfee Family Protection Android Edition is available as a 30-day trial and can be purchased as a 12-month subscription for $19.99.
