After selling Apple’s iPhone for quite some time now, Sprint has been left out when it comes to the company’s recent new iPad tablet. However, the move doesn’t come as a surprise given the fact that Sprint has yet to roll out its own 4G LTE network.

We already know that the new iPad will be exclusively offered by AT&T and Verizon Wireless in the United State, at least for a few months.

Even so, it appears that Sprint is not content with the present “status quo,” so the carrier plans to release the new iPad as well, at some point.

In this regard, the guys over at Engadget have just been tipped on the upcoming availability of the new iPad through Sprint.

The information is confirmed by a few screenshots taken from Best Buy inventory system, which includes a certain “Sprint iPad New” devices. Although no other details are provided for the moment, it’s clear that Sprint wants to match its rivals’ offers, but that will take a while.

The folks at Engadget have received new details on Sprint new iPad’s listing directly from several Best Buy employees, which seems to confirm once again that the carrier is indeed planning to release the tablet.

Apparently, Best Buy has listed different plan options for Sprint new iPad, so this has nothing to do with a particular model of the tablet.

Even though this doesn’t necessarily means that Sprint will be launching the slate in the near future, there’s a high chance that the carrier’s customers will be able to purchase the new iPad by the end of the year.

However, according to the latest hearsay, Apple plans to release a slightly smaller tablet, so Sprint might be in for this particular model, which is only a rumor for the moment.
