Wireless carrier Sprint has just announced two new mobile phones that will come to its offering straight from the handset vendor LG Electronics, namely the LG Lotus Elite and LG Rumor Touch, the successors of the popular LG Lotus and LG Rumor. The new devices come to the market with sleek and stylish designs, as well as with great messaging capabilities, touchscreen displays and new features.

According to Sprint, the new LG Lotus Elite comes in red and is set to make an appearance on its offering as soon as January 10 is here, available for purchase via all Sprint retail channels, and priced at $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the carrier. A black version of the new handset is expected to arrive at Sprint on February 14. As for the LG Rumor Touch, it should land in Q1, and users can already pre-register for it on Sprint's website.

“LG Lotus Elite and LG Rumor Touch provide access to the latest in wireless technology with a flair for style on America's most dependable network” said Kevin Packingham, senior vice president of product development for Sprint. “Lotus Elite helps customers express their individual personality with its unique square shape and tattoo design; and our award-winning Sprint One Click user interface also makes it quick and easy for customers to move through the product applications.”

LG Lotus Elite comes with a One Click user interface, enabling easy access to features and content like text messaging, Google search, Sprint Navigation, email, favorite Web sites, and more. Not to mention that the solution delivers instant information on the features in the handset's menu, as soon as one of them has been selected. A full QWERTY keyboard is also present in the package, as well as an external touchscreen that can display emails, texts and pictures.

LG Rumor Touch comes with a large 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen, a 2-megapixel photo snapper with video recording capabilities, MicroSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, 3G connectivity and more. One can easily access social networking sites with the device, as well as a series of Sprint services, including Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV, Sprint Music and Sprint Mobile Email.
