Priced at $50 with a two-year contract

Wireless carrier Sprint has added a new device to its offering, namely the BlackBerry Curve 8530. The new smartphone is available for purchase from the service provider with a price tag set at $50 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement. Considering the features that it comes to the market with, the Curve 8530 seems to be a pretty nice option at this price tag.

The specifications list of the device shows a full QWERTY keyboard, trackpad and dedicated multimedia keys, along with a 2.0-megapixel photo snapper that also sports video recording capabilities, as well as a microSD memory card slot that enables users to add up to 32GB of storage space into the equation. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options are other appealing features of the handset.

Not to mention that it comes with support for social networking sites too, including Facebook, MySpace and Flicker, as well as a preloaded BlackBerry App World, so that users can easily access a wide range of applications for their handsets. The smartphone also comes with BlackBerry Push Technology, which offers support for up to 10 business and personal email accounts , and sports integrated Attachment Viewing as well, so that one can download, view and edit Word and Excel compatible files, as well as PowerPoint presentations and PDF files.

The BlackBerry Curve 8530 comes with BlackBerry OS 5.0 on board, 256 MB RAM memory, a 3.5 mm headset jack, and speakerphone, and also includes a 1150 mAh lithium ion battery that can offer up to 5.4 hours of continuous talk time.
