US wireless carrier Sprint hasn't unveiled officially the HTC Snap just yet, but the handset is already available for purchase at Best Buy, while also being rumored to go to Radio Shack too. According to the news on the Web, the device should come with a price tag of $149.99 on contract via Radio Shack, while Best Buy has it for $519.99, contract free.

The HTC Snap was previously rumored to become available on Sprint as soon as June 7, yet it seems that the carrier hasn't released it until now, maybe because of the successful launch of the Palm Pre. Even so, the handset can be seen at Best Buy already, and it seems that the retailer has it in its shops as well, showing available inventory.

As many of you might already know, the HTC Snap is expected to come to other wireless carriers in the country as well, though it seems that each of them will receive custom versions of the device. The guys over at WMExperts managed to get their hands on a Sprint model and showed a series of live photos with the handset, which doesn’t seem to be so different from the original Snap, which went live in Malaysia on Wednesday.

According to WMExperts, the HTC Snap comes with Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, sports a Qualcomm MSM-7625 528MHz processor, 256MB of RAM, 128MB of ROM, microSD memory card slot, EvDO Rev A connectivity, a 2-megapixel photo snapper, as well as aGPS w/QuickGPS. In addition, the handset should also feature a wide range of software solutions, including the HTC Inner Circle, Internet Explorer 6, Windows Live/Messenger, and more.

Unfortunately, it seems that HTC took out some of the features that other mobile phones include, such as the Wi-Fi connectivity, the 3.5mm headphone jack or the trackball, yet the phone still has a lot of functionality to prove a great option for a lot of mobile phone users. The one thing that remains to be seen is when Sprint will decide it is time to officially introduce the device, so stay tuned to learn the news.
