With less than a month left until Valentine’s Day, Amazon Wireless debuts an interesting sale for those who prefer more practical presents, instead of the traditional flowers and chocolates.

Starting today, three HTC EVO smartphones are available for reduced prices via Amazon Wireless: HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G and HTC EVO Shift 4G.

In fact, the retailer offers two versions of the HTC EVO 3D, the classic black and the plum variant. However, they are not available for the same price.

While the plum HTC EVO 3D can be purchased for only $9.99 with a new two-year agreement, customers who prefer the classic black EVO 3D will have to pay $49.99 and commit to a new two-year contract.

The HTC EVO Design 4G is available for $39.99, whereas the HTC EVO Shift 4G can be purchased for $29.99, both with new two-year agreements.

All three smartphones are powered by Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform, though the HTC EVO Shift 4G was originally shipped with Froyo on board.

HTC EVO Shift 4G is the less-featured of the three, but comes with a full 4-row slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

In addition, the smartphone has a decent 3.6-inch capacitive touchscreen, an 800 MHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 2GB of ROM, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2GB memory card included), a 5-megapixel rear camera, as well as a VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

The EVO 3D is equipped with a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and sports a large 4.3-inch 3D Super LCD capacitive touchscreen that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution. The phone boasts dual 5-megapixel cameras on the back, as well as a secondary 1.3-megapixel camera.

HTC EVO Design 4G features a slightly smaller 4.0-inch LCD capacitive display, a 1.2 GHz single-core processor, a 5-megapixel main photo snapper and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
