It looks like Sprint customers who own the Samsung Galaxy S III will receive the hotly-anticipated Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update beginning October 25.

The folks over at XDA Developers got their hands on a Sprint internal document, which confirms software update L710VPALJ7 will be pushed to Samsung Galaxy S III owners over a few weeks period.

According to this document, the upgrade will bump the phone's software to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. In addition, the update will improve LTE system selection and Exchange interaction.

Samsung Galaxy S III owners can check for the update by going to Menu / Settings / About phone / Software update / Update.

Although the rollout of the update has been confirmed to start on October 25, the release date is subject to change, so stay tuned for more info on the subject.
