It seems that we're not going to see the highly-expected Sprint Treo Pro until a month from now or so. We've just learned that the carrier has pushed the launch date of this mobile phone to the end of February, without disclosing further details on the move.

Sprint Treo Pro, another Palm handset to be offered by the mobile phone operator, has been initially announced to come to the market last year at the beginning of December, but got delayed until the 25th of January. Last week, the smartphone was announced to hit the shelves on February 15th, yet now the company has delayed it even more, which wouldn't be too big a surprise when it comes to Sprint and Palm, some say.

Those who managed to take a glimpse at the Treo Pro have stated that it is a rather nice-looking and well-featured device, so it is unclear what caused the pushback this time. Nevertheless, there are some voices suggesting that some radio tweaking issue might have caused this.

Sprint Treo Pro is expected to be the first Sprint Palm device to support simultaneous voice calls and data transmission. This capability would allow it to take full advantage of Sprint’s EVDO Rev A network, and it seems that behind this capability might lay a certain settings option. Perfecting the Treo Pro’s CDMA radio might be what drove Sprint to delaying the phone's release date.

Although these might be only speculations, given the fact that the mobile phone carrier didn't give any reason for the pushback, it would be great to see a Treo Pro come to users with both 3G data and voice capabilities at the same time. We'll keep an eye on the device for any further news on it, so stay tuned.
