Sprint has just confirmed it will carry the Galaxy Nexus beginning April 22. The operator has just started to take pre-orders for the Galaxy Nexus. Customers can pre-purchase the smartphone starting today for $199.99 USD with a new two-year agreement.

The same price is available for customers eligible for upgrade. In addition, those who pre-order the smartphone will receive their devices as early as April 20, which is two days earlier than the official launch of the Galaxy Nexus.

There's more to it as Sprint's Galaxy Nexus will be delivered with an extra bonus of $10 instant credit for customers who activate a Google Wallet account within a week of their purchase of their Galaxy Nexus. They will also receive an additional $40 credit within three weeks.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and packs a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, along with 16GB of internal memory and 1GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the smartphone supports 4G LTE support, though Sprint has yet to officially launch its own LTE network, which is expected to be announced sometime in June.

There's also a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED contour display, as well as dual cameras enabling video chat (5-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera).

It will come bundled with Android Beam, Google + Hangouts, Google Voice, as well as access to more than 450,000 apps and games via Google Play store.

“Galaxy Nexus is a beautifully designed smartphone that combines the Pure Google experience with the speed of Sprint’s upcoming 4G LTE network. It represents the cutting-edge features and applications that customers expect and pairs perfectly with Sprint’s unlimited data plans to let our customers enjoy their wireless experience without worrying about overage charges or throttling,” said Fared Adib, vice president, Product Development, Sprint.
