Sprint and Kyocera have a long history together. The latest feature-phones launched by the carriers, Kyocera DuraMax and DuraCore are among the most popular Push-to-Talk handsets available from Sprint.

Following the success of the two Kyocera PTT phones, Sprint has decided to add another Kyocera feature-phone to its portfolio.

Dubbed Kyocera DuraPlus, the phone is certified to Military Standard 810G for resistance to dust, shock, vibration, temperature extremes, humidity, blowing rain and water immersion.

The phone will be available with Sprint Direct Connect services, including Guaranteed Talk Permit, Call Alert with Text, Group Connect, TeamDC, NextMail, Availability Notification and One-Touch Direct Connect.

It is also worth mentioning that Kyocera DuraPlus comes with a special LED flashlight with a dedicated power button. No word on the phone’s exact availability or price tag, but Sprint stated that additional detail would be unveiled closer to launch.
