Wireless carrier Sprint announced recently the launch of its 4G services in the Maui area. According to the company, the Sprint 4G mobile broadband, which is powered by Clearwire's Clear WiMAX network, is capable of delivering impressive streaming video features to users, as well as fast file downloads and uploads, not to mention great web browsing. Moreover, all of these features are now available for users not only when they are at home, in the office or in a coffee shop, but also while they are on the go.

Sprint also notes that Maui is one of the first US communities that receives 4G wireless connections from it. Moreover, the company adds that it is the first national carrier to offer its users the possibility to enjoy services based on the 4G technology. Compared to the existing 3G networks, the Sprint 4G is capable of offering transfer dates up to ten times faster. At the same time, the availability of such impressive speeds is also seen as the base for the development of innovative applications, enabling users to download songs, pictures, or large video in seconds, while also offering the possibility for a great video streaming experience.

Consumers are not the only ones to benefit from Sprint 4G, but businesses will also be able to do so, as it comes with an option of increasing productivity and expanding their capabilities. As Sprint puts it, the new Sprint 4G services are capable of delivering what any person needs in terms of mobile connectivity. “We are excited that Oahu and Maui are included in the first wave of markets with Sprint 4G,” said Dale Goya, general manager for Sprint Hawaii. “Sprint is committed to continue investing in Hawaii and it is a great opportunity for customers in both Maui and Oahu who can now enjoy speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G and take advantage of many 4G devices as they roll out in the months ahead.”
