Spring, one of the popular application development frameworks for enterprise Java, used by developers to create high performing, easily testable, reusable code without any lock-in, is now at version 3.2.

Highlights of Spring Framework 3.2:

• Refined Java SE 7 support has been implemented, within the framework as well as through upgrades to CGLIB 3.0, ASM 4, and AspectJ 1.7.
• Concurrency refinements across the framework have been added, avoiding the use of synchronization wherever possible, in particular for scoped/prototype beans;
• @Autowired and @Value can now be used as meta-annotations, for example to build custom injection annotations in combination with specific qualifiers;
• Support for custom @Bean definition annotations in @Configuration classes has been implemented.

A complete list of changes and updates can be found in the official announcement.
