Smith Micro updates its cleaning solution for Mac OS X

Spring Cleaning is an all-in-one cleaning and privacy solution for Mac developed by Smith Micro. The software is able to clean out your Internet tracks, boost performance by cleaning out forgotten files, and more. Currently at its tenth release, the app sports new features such as Photo A.K.A., a new File Sorter, and an improved QuickCompare feature.

“Mac users worldwide trust Spring Cleaning and its user-friendly tools to keep their machines operating at peak performance,” say the developers of the software. “Reclaim disk space, maximize performance and protect your private information with over 45 easy-to-use tools and actions.”

Some of the new tools added in the new release include a movie finder that can identify 17 common video formats (including QuickTime, Windows Media, MPEG, Flash, AVI, and others), but also a podcast finder. The latter finds files that iTunes recognizes as podcasts, and stores them somewhere safe. However, Spring Cleaning 10 sports a slew of new additions and enhancements.
