One man in Hillsboro, Oregon, presently lives in an old Boeing 727 “parked” in the forests near this town.

Apparently, all it took in order to transform this aircraft into something which can be called a home without having anyone frown at hearing this statement was some commitment and a lot of imagination.

As Bruce Campbell explains, the old Boeing 727 already had all the necessary facilities and also quite a lot of free space, so all that was needed was for someone to recognize the aircraft's potential to double as a permanent residence and make the most of it.

We have previously reported on people turning shipping containers into the perfect environment to raise a family, all for the sake of sustainability, yet it seems to us that Bruce Campbell breathes new life into the green-oriented saying that one needs to always find new uses for items that would otherwise go to waste.
